Born and raised in Jamaica, New York, Dr. Martin listened closely to her mother and father's teachings about success, accoutability and service. The child of two health care professionals, young Kay found herself immersed in a world of caring for the wellbeing of others.  Not a long shot that she would grow up to devote her life to serving women through health care and wellness.  Dr. Martin attributes much of her success in medicine to her mother's strong direction, her father's example and her Howard Medical School education.

Licensed in 1990, Dr. Martin performed four years of training at Jamaica Hospitals busy obstetrics and gynecology department and went on to work for St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan and North Shore Long Island Jewish in New York.  It was at Premier Healthcare Services - YAI, following in her father's footsteps, offering gynecology for patients with mental health challenges that Dr. Martin decided to open her solo practice, 'Pap in a Snap'  in 2001. An extensive traveler, Dr. Martin has volunteered with the Organization of International Development providing medical care to women in underprivileged countries and has appeared as an expert speaker on The Montel Williams Show. An exciting career full of charity, hard work and dedication to healing and wellness for women and the beautiful babies they bring forth.
